Our office is looking for an enthusiastic, service-oriented, and detail-oriented individual to join our practice as an optometric technician and front desk member. Our office is a full scope optometric practice and offers services such as dry eye, diabetic eye exams, glaucoma, and cataract evaluations. Responsibilities:
- Conduct preliminary work-up for patients for a comprehensive eye examination or medical office visits.
- Assist patients with the completion of medical history forms and ensure accurate medical records are maintained.
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure all necessary supplies are stocked and equipment is sanitized and ready for use.
- Provide support at the front desk, including scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, checking in and checking out patients, completing end-of-day duties, and managing patient inquiries.
- Verify all insurance for the upcoming patient & Including Procedure & well check benefit.
- Able to communicate with patients regarding Co-pay, Co-Insurance & Deductible, and Collect Office visits, including labs & procedures appropriately.
- Job functions include performing diagnostic testing, OCT, Visual Field, and Fundus Photography.
- Educate patients on proper contact lens care, training patients on insertion/removal training and learning about soft contact lenses and specialty contact lenses.
Skills:
- Familiarity with basic math concepts to assist in sales and reports.
- Able to operate a retina camera, OCT, and Visual Field.
- Familiarity with computer programs such as Microsoft and Google Suite.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and team members.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Spanish speaking is a plus.
